SECTION SF 30 BLOCK 14 CONTINUATION PAGE

The following items are applicable to this modification:

The purpose of this amendment is to 1) extend the closing date for proposals and 2) provide questions and answers to potential offerors as follows:

1. The closing date for the receipt of proposals is extended to 14 November 2016, 3:00 pm, Eastern Standard Time.

1. The following questions and answers are provided to all offerors:

1Q: SOW Specification, Acceptance testing (100% conformance) is not defined in either the SOW or PRF-8603212. It is assumed that requirements in PRF-8603212 Paragraphs 3.4 – 3.5.5 would be verified on a 100% basis. Is this assumption correct? If so, it is further assumed that the squib would not be installed for this testing. In order to verify the requirement of Paragraph 3.4.7 (Detonation Initiation), the squib could not be installed. Is this assumption correct?

1A: Acceptance testing requires 100% conformance as stated in paragraph 3.3.4.2.

- paragraph 3.4.7.1 shall be verified without the detonator installed. A live detonator will be replaced with an inert detonator.

- paragraph 3.4.7.2 shall be verified with the detonator installed for Design Verification only.

2Q: Does a fully populated technical data package exist for the Mk75 S&A (i.e. sub component and end items drawings), or will this be a performance/specification based endeavor?

2A: The performance specification is the requirement for this contract. A technical data package for the previously designed S&A can be provided upon request, but will only be provided as reference only. The offeror shall ensure that all performance requirements of the proposed design are in accordance with PRF-8603212. {See response to Question "Technical Data Package (TDP)"}. The Government has experienced challenges with obsolescence and difficulty manufacturing the 2-minute timer assembly, so built-to-print will not necessarily meet requirements without modification or improvement.

3Q: Statement of Work, page 30, Figure 1, Note 3 reads "Three (3) S&A Device (Live) Samples shall be tested per Group B Test Cycle. Please verify what the requirement is to expose a fully loaded 1.1 explosive fuze to vibration and shock tests?

3A: The requirement to test explosive loaded/live S&A samples applies to S&A design that meets the requirement in paragraph 3.6.1.3. of PRF-8603212.

1. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.

1. Direct any questions to Jamie Brown at 301-744-6623.
