About this file
This file is a Questions and Answers document (Q&A 01) for federal solicitation N0017326Q5223, a re-competed janitorial and building maintenance contract.
The requirement involves cleaning and maintenance services for two buildings (F1 and F15) totaling 9,460 square feet, comprising 3,005 square feet of epoxy-coated flooring, 5,440 square feet of carpet, and tile restrooms. Services are required on Tuesdays and Fridays, 0730-1530 hours, with scheduling at the contractor's discretion while avoiding employee lunch hours. The scope includes 3 total restrooms (1 at F1, 2 at F15), 2 break rooms, 5 offices plus 1 conference room, approximately 20 small office trash bins and 3 kitchen garbage bins, and quarterly minimal high-dusting services. The facility has approximately 25 employees. The contractor must supply all equipment, supplies, and materials, and there are no special areas requiring unique cleaning protocols or terrazzo flooring present. The contract is a one-year base period (17 May 2026 to 16 May 2027) with four one-year options extending through 16 May 2031. This represents a re-compete of the previous contract N0017325P0422 held by Cardinal Maintenance Services Inc, which was previously awarded at $14,400.00. The bid closing date was extended to enhance competition, and the primary change from the previous solicitation is the extension from a one-year requirement to a base year plus four option years.
