About this file

This document is a Statement of Objectives (SOO) for the procurement of a High-Resolution Thermoreflectance Device Imaging System designed for thermal analysis of semiconductor devices. The system is intended to enable non-destructive, optical-based thermal imaging with ultrahigh spatial resolution (down to 250 nm) and temporal resolution (≤50 ns) for identifying localized heat generation, quantifying peak temperature rise, evaluating device-level thermal management, and improving device reliability through calibration of electrothermal models.

The required system shall include comprehensive capabilities encompassing steady-state and transient measurement modes with thermal sensitivity of 10 mK, 8 megapixel camera resolution (2848 x 2848 pixels) operating across a 200-1000 nm spectral range, and multi-wavelength measurement capabilities at 265 nm (deep UV), 365 nm (near UV), 470 nm, 530 nm, and 780 nm (visible) for analysis of various semiconductor device types including ultrawide bandgap, wide bandgap, and standard devices. The system must include advanced data analysis software with MATLAB compatibility, piezoelectric stage with auto-positioning and auto-focusing, thermal stage temperature control from 20-120°C, custom probe station with six micro-positioners, vibration isolation table (30x36 inches), silicon reference thermal test sample for calibration, thermoelectric heater/cooler with custom surface thermocouple, all necessary control and analysis software, on-site installation and training, and a minimum 12-month warranty on parts and technical support.
