Questions

200 Ton:

1. Do you need to ramp pressure and temperature or do you just want to enter a single set-point through the interface and save recipes?

Answer: Only the pressure needs to be variable for a cycle. Please see the revised section 3.1 of the Statement of Work.

2. What is your minimum pressure requirement?

Answer: Five (5) tons is the minimum requirement. The Statement of work was updated to include this information. Please see the revised section 3.1 of the Statement of Work.

3. Are there cables extending out the front of the clamp area? Our guarding will need to be modified to accommodate.

Answer: Yes, there cables extending out the front of the clamp area. There is no requirement to modify the guarding. The SOW remains unchanged.

4. Do you want an adjustable daylight from 16"-24" or a fixed daylight at 24" with 16" stroke?

Answer: Adjustable would be preferred, but not required. The SOW remains unchanged.

5. Is there a specific height requirement for operator interfaces, gauges etc?

Answer: There is no specific height requirement. The SOW remains unchanged.

6. Do you want the pump to shut off when the set-point is achieved or hold for a time and then turn off?

Answer: Adjustable would be preferred, but not required. The SOW remains unchanged

7. Our "heat Platens" are usually a separate item from the Moving and Fixed platens, they are insulated as well , as to not transfer heat into the rest of the machine.

They are also smaller than the platen area.

The specification says the platen size 30x30"do you have a spec for the heat platen? Is the heat platen to be 30x 30?

Answer: We are referring to the heated working surface size in the Statement of Work. So, in their case, the 'heat platen' is 30x30 minimum. Please see Section 3.1 of the Statement of Work.

75 Ton:

1. What do you mean by "automated closing"

Answer: Automated means motorized as opposed to manually operated. Please see the revised section 3.2 of the Statement of Work.

2. What is our minimum pressure requirement?

Answer: One (1) ton is the minimum requirement. The Statement of work was updated to include this information.

Please see the revised section 3.2 of the Statement of Work.

3. On your last 100 ton press there were two pressure ranges, do you want similar to this?

Answer: Two ranges would be preferred, but not required. The SOW remains unchanged.

a. The pump turns off for final cure at a lower pressure

Answer: Yes, this was the intent of the noise reduction statement. The Statement of work was updated to include this information. Please see the revised section 3.1 and 3.2 of the Statement of Work.

4. Do you need to ramp pressure and temperature or do you just want to enter a single set-point through the interface and save recipes? OR Do you want discreet control to set pressure and temperature?

Answer: Only the pressure needs to be variable for a cycle. The SOW remains unchanged.

5. Are there cables extending out the front of the clamp area? Our guarding will need to be modified to accommodate.

Answer: Answer: Yes, there cables extending out the front of the clamp area. There is no requirement to modify the guarding. The SOW remains unchanged.

6. Do you want an adjustable daylight from 12"-22" with 12" of stroke or a fixed daylight at 12" with 12" stroke?

Answer: Adjustable would be preferred, but not required. The SOW remains unchanged.

7. Is there a specific height requirement for operator interfaces, gauges etc?

Answer: There is no specific height requirement. The SOW is unchanged.

8. Is the 75 ton press to be a 4 post press also?

Answer: It is not required to be a 4-post. The SOW remains unchanged.

9. Our "heat Platens" are usually a separate item from the Moving and Fixed platens, they are insulated as well , as to not transfer heat into the rest of the machine.

They are also smaller than the platen area.

The specification says the platen size 18x18"do you have a spec for the heat platen? Is the heat platen to be 18x18"?

Answer: We are referring to the heated working surface size in the Statement of Work. So, in their case, the 'heat platen' is 18x18 minimum. Please see Section 3.2 of the Statement of Work.
