About this file
This Request for Information (RFI) from the Naval Sea Systems Command seeks industry feedback on a draft specification for Expeditionary 11 Meter Rigid Inflatable Boats (RIBs) in both an Expeditionary Mine Counter Measure (ExMCM) configuration and a Very Shallow Water (VSW) configuration. The Navy anticipates procuring up to 48 boats over five years and expects to issue a Request for Proposals in the first quarter of calendar year 2018. Key requirements include a length of 39 feet, a beam of 11.8 feet, fuel capacity of 280 gallons, and maximum speeds of 35 knots for cruise and 40 knots for sprint. The ExMCM configuration must support a 3,682 pound payload including crew, unmanned underwater vehicles, and mission gear. The VSW configuration must support a 4,490 pound payload including crew, combat raiding craft, and mission gear. Responses are requested by January 12, 2018 and should include vessel data, company experience and capabilities, and any comments on the draft specification.
