1. Does NAVAIR want the offeror to identify if the parts are new or overhauled?

-It is intended that the Government will accept either new or refurbished overhauled parts w/ appropriate documentation.:

· Used serviceable parts refurbished and/or overhauled by the OEM or an authorized CFR Part 121/145 repair/overhaul facility to an FAA approved specification.

· For those used serviceable parts without an FAA approved overhaul specification, the used serviceable parts shall have been repaired in accordance with the production approval holder’s maintenance instructions as approved by an FAA authorized agency.

· All used serviceable parts shall possess an FAA Form 8130-3, Airworthiness Approval Tag.

2. What is Boeing’s role in the sustainment strategy?

- The GOvt determined the sustainment support strategy. It is intended for Boeing to be continued to be involved in interim support through FY16. NAVAIR intends to begin transition to an organic supply support structure in FY14.

3. The presentation states that the FAA must be utilized. Will the European or Canadian Airworthiness cert be acceptable?

-The Government will review this question to determine if this form is acceptable.

4. What is the overall scope of the intended solicitation? Is there or will there be requirements for warehousing first article testing, transportation, distribution inventory management, etc – supply chain management ?

-This requirement is for the procurement and delivery of commercial common parts to a specific location (CONUS and OCONUS).

5. Will the program encompass the remanufacture/repair or Navy assets?

-This solicitation is for the procurement and delivery of commercial common parts to a specific location. However, future repair contracts may be awarded, starting as early as next year. NAVSUP will likely be the procurement activity. The program is perusing a competitive commercially sourced depot repair airframes rework (heavy checks).

6. Will split awards be allowed? Will NAVAIR issue two RFPs? One for sole source and one for competitive?

- The Government is considering alternative strategies for this procurement, which may include split awards. The formal RFP will outline the specific award strategy in Section M.

7. Will NAVAIR provide the current sources for each end item?

-In this solicitation, it is not anticipated that the Government will be outlining the sources of each end item. It should be noted that a part number may have multiple manufacturers.

8. Will you be providing a list of the current suppliers and or Technical Data Packages (drawings, specs, etc)?

- Commercial sourcing for the identified parts shall be the responsibility of the offeror.
