About this file

Written by GovTribe AI ·

This document is a 2025 Wild Land (WL) Tree Creation Detailed Unit Implementation Strategy (DUIS) for the McKenzie River area, detailing forest management activities across multiple units within the Golden sale area. The plan involves tree creation activities including chainsaw topping (Item 0001), high girdling (Item 0002), base girdling (Item 0003), and tree felling (Item 0006) across four separate units totaling 460 acres. Each unit has specific access restrictions, particularly during the Cascade Elk Rifle Season from November 7-15, 2025, with Yale gate keys required for access and limitations on vehicle movement. The recommended treatment for all units is 2 snags per acre using Items 0001-0003, with variations in the number of trees to be treated per unit based on acreage and minimum diameter at breast height (DBH) requirements. The total units show 41 total trees for chainsaw topping, 13 for high girdling, 13 for base girdling, and 15 for down wood management.
