The vendor must provide brand new equipment certified to Foster & Freeman Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications. Each fuming chamber must have approximately 28 cubic feet of internal volume (50 inches H x 31.6 inches W x 31.4 inches D) with digital variable controls for temperature, humidity, fuming and purge cycle times. Required features include adjustable humidity controls from 75%-90%, dual temperature hot plates with minimum 120°C capability (230°C desirable but not required), internal air circulation with fan assistance, integrated user-serviceable CA fume containment filtration, and UV-C (254nm output) decontamination modules. Each unit must include a storage tube for the UV module, integrated hanging hook, and self-capping connectors. Equipment shall be constructed of powder coat, aluminum, or stainless steel with glass windows or door apertures and mounted on wheels for mobility.
Each procurement includes forty-four (44) carbon filters (two per unit), variable shelf locations, and twenty-two (2) stainless steel user-configurable racking/shelving units with hanging rails featuring four large shelves, one corner unit, one corner unit with integrated support, and all necessary poles. Equipment must be tested and certified compliant with current occupational exposure standards (<.03ppm). Delivery shall occur within approximately thirty (30) days of contract receipt to one of three locations: Forensic Crime Gun Intelligence Laboratory (FCGIL), Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives in Wichita, Kansas; FSL-A in Atlanta, Georgia; or FSL-W in Beltsville, Maryland. The first order includes manufacturer training and installation at the FCGIL location, with subsequent deliveries installed by the laboratory.
