About this file

This document presents Minimum Essential Characteristics (MECs) for a GraphPad software licensing procurement. The contractor is required to provide GraphPad licenses for 190 systems to support scientific graphing, comprehensive curve fitting via nonlinear regression, statistical analysis, and data organization capabilities.

The software must perform extensive statistical comparison tests including paired and unpaired t-tests, nonparametric tests (Mann-Whitney, Kolmogorov-Smirnov, Wilcoxon), ANOVA variants (one-way, two-way, repeated measures), Kruskal-Wallis, Friedman, Fisher's exact test, chi-square analysis, and Kaplan-Meier survival analysis with log-rank testing. Column statistics capabilities must include calculation of descriptive measures (mean, SD, SEM, confidence intervals, quartiles), frequency distributions and histograms, normality testing, outlier identification using Grubbs or ROUT methods, and skewness/kurtosis analysis. The software must also support linear regression, nonlinear regression, and clinical diagnostic statistics including Bland-Altman plots and receiver operator characteristic (ROC) curves. All software licensing, warranty, and associated services must comply with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) terms and conditions. The document specifies no delivery requirements.

Minimum Essential Characteristics (MECs)

The Contractor shall provide GraphPad licenses for 190 systems for scientific graphing comprehensive curve fitting (nonlinear regression), understandable statistics, and data organization software meeting the following Minimum Essential Characteristics:

1. Shall be able to perform the following statistical comparison tests:

• Paired or unpaired t tests.

• Nonparametric Mann-Whitney test, including confidence interval of difference of medians.

• Kolmogorov-Smimov test.

• Wilcoxon test with confidence interval of median.

• Ordinary or repeated measures one-way ANOVA followed by the Tukey, Newman Keuls, Dunnett, Bonferroni or Holm-Sidak multiple comparison tests, the post-test for trend, or Fisher's Least Significant tests.

• Greenhouse-Geisser correction.

• Kruskal-Wallis or Friedman nonparametric one-way ANOVA with Dunn's posttest.

• Fisher's exact test or the chi-square test. Calculate the relative risk and odds ratio with confidence intervals.

• Two-way ANOVA, with repeated measures in one or both factors. Tukey, Newman Keuls, Dunnett, Bonferron, Holm-Sidak, or Fishers LSD multiple comparisons testing main and simple effects.

• Kaplan-Meier survival analysis. Compare curves with the log-rank test (including test for trend).

2. Shall be able to perform the following column statistics:

• Calculate info, max, quartiles, mean, SD, SEM, CI, CV.

• Mean or geometric mean with confidence intervals.

• Frequency distributions (bin to histogram), including cumulative histograms.

• Normality testing by three methods.

• One sample t test or Wilcoxon test to compare the column mean (or median) with a theoretical value.

• Skewness and Kurtosis.

• Identify outliers using Grnbbs or ROUT method.

3. Shall be able to perform Linear regression and correlation.

4. Shall be able to perform Nonlinear regression.

5. Shall be able to perform Clinical (diagnostic) lab statistics.

• Bland-Altman plots.

• Receiver operator characteristic (ROC) curves.

All software licensing, warranty, and services associated with the equipment shall be in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) terms and conditions.
