Mid-Atlantic_Purchasing_Team_Intergovernmental_&_Cooperative_Purchasing_Clause.pdf

This is an Intergovernmental & Cooperative Purchasing Clause document issued by the Mid-Atlantic Purchasing Team for use in state and local contracts. The clause establishes terms under which public agencies and authorized cooperative purchasing members may utilize contracts awarded through this procurement mechanism. The document outlines the framework for extending purchasing agreements to eligible governmental entities and cooperative organizations within the Mid-Atlantic region, allowing them to leverage competitively bid contracts for goods and services. The clause specifies which entities are permitted to participate in such arrangements and defines the conditions under which they may access awarded contracts.

The document serves as a standard contractual provision that governs cooperative purchasing rights and responsibilities among participating jurisdictions. It establishes the legal basis for non-signatory agencies to utilize contracts originally awarded to other governmental entities, thereby promoting cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency across the region. The clause clarifies the obligations of contractors to extend pricing and terms to eligible cooperative purchasing participants on the same basis as the original contracting entity, while also addressing liability, authorization, and compliance requirements for all parties utilizing the cooperative purchasing arrangement.
