About this file
This specification document outlines equipment requirements for the Maine State Warden Service snowmobile fleet. The Maine State Warden Service requires a single blue LED lighthead with an integrated flasher assembly for each snowmobile in its fleet. The equipment must be waterproof and designed for dash, deck, grille, trunk, and mirror mounting applications. The lighthead must operate on 12 VDC power, feature 40 high-intensity LEDs in solid blue color (not clear lens with blue covering), and be controlled via a single toggle switch. The unit must include a weatherproof flasher assembly and carry a standard warranty of five years for the lighthead and two years for the flasher from the date of purchase.
The specification establishes strict performance parameters for the equipment, including a maximum current draw of 0.5 amps per lighthead to minimize electrical load on the snowmobile systems. The lighthead must be SAE J595 Class 1 certified when flashed in pairs and housed in black ABS plastic or silver cast aluminum construction with a clear lens cover. The document does not specify quantities needed, pricing terms, bid deadlines, award dates, or contract term length, indicating this is a technical specification component rather than a complete solicitation document.
