About this file
This document is a Sources Sought Synopsis issued by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) for market research purposes. It does not constitute a Request for Quotation or an obligation to award a contract. NIST is seeking information from organizations capable of providing semi-annual service and maintenance for natural gas-fired water boilers and water heaters, specifically Lochinvar, Weil McClain, and PVI models. Desired qualifications include being a factory-authorized Lochinvar dealer, employing technicians trained on gas-fired boiler burners and maintenance, and having journeyman-level technicians with valid WSSC gas cards. Interested parties should submit documentation of their capabilities, relevant experience, company information, and whether the required services are on GSA Schedule or GWAC contracts. Responses are due by April 26, 2024. Based on the market research, NIST may conduct a competitive procurement, potentially as a small business set-aside if at least two qualified small businesses are identified.
