About this file
This document is a PowerPoint presentation for the GSA Medium & Heavy Duty Vehicles / Wreckers & Carriers (MHWC) Program Industry Day for Fiscal Year 2026 Open Season. The solicitation (47QMCA22R0013) outlines the process for existing and new contractors to update or propose vehicle models for the upcoming model year, with critical dates including a vendor pre-bid period from March 28 to May 12, an Open Season Industry Day on May 19, and bid submission rounds from May 22 to November 14, 2025. Contractors will use the GSAFleet.gov platform to enter technical data and pricing, with new model year submissions required to comply with federal vehicle standards.
The open season process allows existing contractors to update pricing, base vehicle data, optional equipment information, and propose new models, while new offerors can submit proposals for models not currently on contract. Vehicles will be available year-round for ordering via GSAFleet.gov, with vendors able to propose closing dates. Key points include mandatory pricing entry alongside technical data, a full evaluation of new proposals for responsiveness and technical acceptability, and support from GSA Vehicle Engineering for market research, make/model evaluation, and technical support. The solicitation targets commercially available vehicles with separate minimums and options for each Special Item Number (SIN).
