About this file
This document is a set of responses to questions regarding RFP MG-07222024 for White Beam Slit and Pink Beam Slits & Screens. The key points are:
-
The RFP references an external document AL-1747-8192 that has not been provided. LBNL stated this document can be provided at the project kickoff and that Tables 7.1 and 7.3 in the RFP should suffice for the proposal.
-

The related federal contract opportunity is for RFP MG-07222024 issued by the Department of Energy's Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory for White Beam Slit and Pink Beam Slits & Screens. The RFP and associated documents were released on 07/22/2024, with supplier questions due by 08/12/2024 and proposals due by 08/26/2024.

1) Tech spec section 7.1.2, item 0015 and section 7.2.2, item 0034 reference an external document AL-1747-8192 which has not been provided. Please can you provide this document?
LBNL Response: AL-1747-8192 (Calculation of Power Load Requirements for White and Pink Beam Diagnostics in BL07.0.1 and BL07.0.2), can be provided at kick-off along with numerical data; which can be mapped to an FEA model. Tables 7.1 and 7.3 should suffice for the proposal.
2) Tech spec section 7.3.1, item 0043 states Object resolution SHALL be 10 µm, while item
0044 states Object resolution SHOULD be 30 µm. Please confirm if these numbers are correct.
