MCAAP the responsibility for designing and defining a new aluminum dumping process . MCAAP is currently incurring down time and must install a new process that allows us to process the aluminum powder safer and cleaner. MCAAP must have the new system installed in order to stop incurring down time. The current system specified will take about 16 weeks after award to build. If this system is not awarded ASAP MCAAP will be at risk as they will not be able to process powder and the complete line will remain shut down and left idle. Any delays will result in lost revenue and negatively effect our ability to support the mission.

MCAAP must have the new system installed as soon as possibe. The current system specified will take about 16 weeks after award to build. If this system is not awarded ASAP MCAAP will be at risk as they will not be able to process aluminum powder for the mixing operation and a complete line will remain shut down and left idle. MCAAP currently has a plan and design to install the drum dumpers, but if they are not here in an urgent fashion we will assume mission failure.

MCAAP Design Engineering Branch has been in the develop phase of this system for about 1 month, leaving the initial start date of design to be early October. Engineering had to develop the design forward from that point. Due to events that occurred on November 2, 2021, and leaving the production line down, this requirement has been drastically elevated.

If the current request is not action as stated, MCAAP will incur more cost to the current explosive mixing program at B194B and incur more down time. The deadline for this project is as soon as possible due to the event occurring on November 2, 2021.
