About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force to procure finished metal name tags for basic military training personnel.
The contractor must manufacture approximately 40,500 USAF name tags annually plus approximately 930 USSF name tags per year for trainees and prior service Enlisted Airman Orientation Course (EAOC) personnel at JBSA-Lackland, TX. USAF name tags display only the trainee's last name on a single line, while USSF name tags display the first or middle name on line one and the last name on line two. Both tag types measure 3/4 inch in height by 3 inches in width. USAF tags use Brass or Nickel Silver nameplate material with a plastic attaching insert, finished in nickel plate, silver plate, or matte brushed silver. USSF tags use Red Brass 85/15 or Nickel Silver 65/18 with the same finish options (nickel plate available for red brass only). Tags must feature prong and clutch attaching devices, engraved lettering in standard block or SL513 Portuguese font (1/4 inch height for capitals, 1/8 inch for lowercase), with epoxy-based paint fill in Pantone Color 2747C (USAF) or 2188C (USSF). USSF tags require 15-degree angle cuts at both ends. All tags must be packaged in protective plastic tubes within polybags and finished with pale, clear synthetic lacquer.
The Government will provide rosters weekly containing 15-70 names per flight, with an average of 12-20 AF flights per week and 3-6 SF flights per quarter. Delivery must occur within 14 calendar days of order receipt for AF/SF basic trainees and within 3 business days for prior service personnel. Contractor-caused errors and defects must be corrected and redelivered within 3 business days at no cost to the Government. Completed orders shall be delivered to 502 LRS/LGRM, 1550 Wurtsmith Suite 4, Bldg. 5725, JBSA-Lackland, TX 78236-5250.
