This Statement of Work (SOW) dated June 2026 establishes requirements for finished metal name tags for approximately 40,500 U.S. Air Force (USAF) Active, Guard, and Reserve trainees and prior service Enlisted Airman Orientation Course (EAOC) personnel, plus approximately 930 U.S. Space Force (USSF) trainees annually at JBSA-Lackland, TX. The contractor must provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and services necessary to manufacture metal name tags compliant with The Institute of Heraldry (TIOH) standards per DAFI 36-2903 and SPFI 36-2903 regulations. USAF name tags consist of brass or nickel silver with plastic attaching inserts, measuring 3/4-inch height by 3-inch width with specified thickness tolerances, finished in nickel plate, silver plate, or matte brushed silver. Tags display only the trainee's last name in standard block or SL513 Portuguese font, 1/4-inch capital letters with epoxy-based paint matching Pantone Color 2747C. USSF name tags use red brass or nickel silver with the same dimensions and finishes but display two lines (first/middle name and last name) in 1/4-inch capitals with 1/16-inch spacing, using Pantone Color 2188C paint, and feature 15-degree angle cuts at both ends. Both types require protective plastic tube packaging within polybags (minimum 2-mil thickness). Air Force/Space Force basic trainee orders require delivery within 14 calendar days; prior service EAOC name tags require three business days. Government rosters average 12-20 USAF flights per week (15-70 names per flight), 3-6 USSF flights per quarter, and 1-50 prior service names. Contractor errors are corrected at no cost; government errors are corrected at government cost. Reorders and defect corrections must be delivered within three business days of notification.
