About this file
This document is an Amendment Two to the Invitation for Bids for a Statewide Meals-Ready-To-Eat (MRE) contract issued by the State of Maryland Department of General Services. The Solicitation is for an indefinite quantity term contract to supply the State of Maryland and using authorities such as Baltimore City with a list of vendors to provide shelf-stable MRE breakfast, lunch, and dinner entrees during emergency situations, including delivery FOB destinations across the State. The Amendment provides responses to 11 questions submitted by vendors, clarifying details such as delivery timelines, packaging quantities, pricing structure, and references.
The contract is open to all vendors able to provide competitive pricing on individual MRE units. There is no incumbent vendor, as this is a new contract requirement. Pricing will be evaluated per MRE, with vendors having discretion on how to structure their pricing. The Department of General Services cannot assist vendors with pricing calculations.
