About this file
This is a specifications document for the State of California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) regarding McPhail glass traps used for exotic fruit fly detection and eradication under contract opportunity P25-1235. The procurement requires 24 samples of McPhail traps that must accommodate a #9 rubber stopper with specific dimensions: 1.772 inches top diameter, 1.457 inches bottom diameter, and 0.984 inches length. Each trap must not exceed 3 pounds in weight. Sample submissions must be complete and arrive at the specified address in Anaheim, California, between March 26, 2026 and April 16, 2026 to be considered for evaluation. All samples are to be directed to Adrian Gonzales at 2423 E Winston Road, Anaheim, CA 92806, and incomplete submissions will not be evaluated.
The State of California is not obligated to pay for the samples or cover return shipping costs. Bidders should note that CDFA already maintains an inventory of rubber stoppers, so only the trap component is required for this procurement. No pricing information, award dates, contract terms, or renewal options are specified in this specifications document.
