About this file

This document is a Market Survey Notice from the Department of the Treasury Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) to ascertain the technical capabilities and manufacturing capacity of potential suppliers of United States Distinctive Currency Paper and Non-distinctive Banknote Paper.

The BEP is seeking information on companies that own and operate a paper mill in the United States with the technical capability to manufacture cotton and linen paper, including security features such as registered watermarks, embedded security threads, and windowed threads. Respondents must be able to provide between 13,500,000 to 22,500,000 pounds of cotton-linen paper within a 12-month period and have the capacity to convert paper rolls into sheets. This is not a solicitation, but rather market research to determine supplier interest and capabilities for a potential future requirement.
