MARKET RESEARCH QUESTIONNAIRE
Dental Assistant, Dental Hygienist, Pharmacy Technician, and Radiologic Technologist
(Various Medical Services) Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) Guaynabo, Puerto Rico
The Federal Bureau of Prisons is conducting market research in compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation, Part 10. The services will encompass the provision of Dental Assistant, Dental Hygienist, Pharmacy Technician, and Radiologic Technologist services. The contractor will provide the various medical services for the prisoners held in the custody of the Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons, located at the MDC, 28 Street #652, Guaynabo, Puerto Rico 00965-5700. The requirement for these services will consist of an estimated 40 sessions per week. Each session will be defined as one hour in length. It is anticipated the services will be required Monday through Friday, (excluding federal holidays), from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Dental Assistant, Dental Hygienist, Pharmacy Technician, and Radiologic Technician are each expected to work an estimated 1,872 sessions per year.
A mutually agreed upon schedule between the contractor and the Bureau of Prisons will be determined following award of a contract. The performance period will be for a base year, being Date of Award (DOA) through 12 months, and four 12-month option periods exercised at the discretion of the government.
This is not a new requirement. There are incumbents currently providing these services.

All potential quoters are advised if a solicitation is issued it will include the clause at FAR 52.212-4 (July 2013) for Commercial Items. This clause requires all contractors doing business with the Federal Government after September 30, 2003, to be registered in the SAM database.
