About this file

This document is a Market Research Questionnaire related to a federal contract opportunity for the LBNF Argon Condensers System 1 & 2. The opportunity is a pre-solicitation for the engineering, manufacturing, testing, and delivery of argon condenser systems to support cryostats for the Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE) project.

The questionnaire seeks information on the offeror's capabilities and experience, including 10 years of experience in designing and fabricating cryogenic pressure vessels, vacuum insulated pipes, and shell and tube heat exchangers. Offerors must also have domestic production capability and a corporate quality control plan. The questionnaire also requests past 3-year data on annual revenue, number of employees, and deliveries of cryogenic equipment. Offerors are asked to provide an estimated delivery timeframe in weeks after receipt of an order. The federal contract opportunity has an anticipated solicitation issuance in February 2025, an 8-week solicitation period, and a contract award in November 2025 with a final delivery no later than April 2027. The contracting agency is the Department of Energy Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory.
