This document is a synopsis announcing the U.S. Army's intent to award a sole source contract for connectors and cables supporting the Mounted Assured Positioning, Navigation, and Timing System (MAPS) GEN II integration. The procurement covers three specific connector types: 24-contact push-pull plugs, wire harness assemblies with 24-contact push-pull connectors, and 19-contact 11mm push-pull plugs, designed for integration into Army vehicle platforms including the M1 Abrams Tank, M2 Bradley Fighting Vehicle, and M113 Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle.

The government plans to negotiate exclusively with Fischer Connectors in Alpharetta, GA, under FAR 13.5 simplified procedures. Interested contractors are invited to submit capability statements electronically, including SAM registration, Unique Entity ID, credentials, and business classification (small business, 8(a), women-owned, HUBZone, etc.). Responses must be emailed to Contracting Officer Charles Compton (charles.t.compton5.civ@army.mil) with a courtesy copy to CAPT Timothy Yu. The connectors feature polyurethane jacketing, braided shielding, IP68 water resistance, and are rated for extreme temperatures from -55°C to 135°C, with rigorous environmental and electrical testing requirements.
