MARAD Beaumont Reserve Fleet Anchorage Fleet and Access Channel
1. ABSTRACT: The intent of this contract is to perform a Single Beam survey of
Maritime Administrations (MARAD) Beaumont Reserve Fleet Anchorage and access slip.
2. GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS:
2.1 The contractor shall furnishing all personnel, plant, equipment, materials, supplies and travel necessary to perform the required survey tasks.
2.2 The work consists of, obtaining a Single Beam hydrographic survey at
MARAD’s Beaumont, Texas Fleet anchorage and access slip.
2.3 The contractor shall deliver complete, reduced, reproducible field notes, computer aided design and drafting (CADD) data, and XYZ ASCII data in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract.
2.4 The contractor shall depict the survey information on plan view and cross section drawings in hard copy and electronic file formats.

5.2.2 Last survey completed of the BRF Fleet Anchorage and Fleet Access
Channel area.
5.3 SERVICES: None
6. STATEMENT OF WORK:
6.1 The contactor shall use GPS in conjunction with various hardware and software such as HYPACK to perform a hydrographic survey of MARAD’s Beaumont Reserve Fleet Anchorage, from station 550+00 to station 660+00 and MARAD’s Access Channel from station 0+00 to station 24+00.
6.2 The contactor shall provide a survey boat equipped with sufficient conventional and automated equipment to collect Single Beam data.
6.3 Horizontal positioning shall be obtained utilizing GPS (Global Positioning System) satellite system in Real Time Differential mode.
6.4 Depth measurements shall be obtained utilizing a single frequency unit operating at 200 kHz. The system shall be calibrated for speed of sound in the water column at the site using an acoustic velocimeter.

6.5 The contactor shall process/edit all hydrographic survey data and provide the results from the generation of terrain models in 2D and 3D modes.
6.6 The contactor shall provide a Georeferenced plan view drawings showing the fleet anchorage and access slip with single beam data densified and water depths referenced in Mean Lower Low Water (MLLW).
6.7 Provide PDF format profile view cross-section drawings showing stationing at 200’ intervals including all PC’s and PT’s.
6.8 The contactor shall provide a survey report summarizing the work in digital and hard copy formats. The report shall also include a description of the work, equipment, datum’s used, project conditions, results, and products delivered.
6.9 All horizontal control is to be referenced to the Texas State Plane Grid Coordinate System, South Central Zone, North American Datum, NAD 1983 in US survey feet.
6.10 Vertical control shall be Mean Lower Low Water (MLLW).
6.11 After the survey is completed and all data is compiled a comparison of the survey to the last survey performed, identifying the amount of silting that has taken place between the two surveys. The BRF will supply the last hydrographic Survey that is needed to compare.
7. DELIVERABLES:
7.1 Upon delivery the contractor shall provide two hard copies in PDF format and two digital copies in PDF format of reports and processed data.
7.2 Provide PDF format plan view drawings showing the anchorage and access slip with stationing at 200’ intervals including all PC’s and PT’s.
7.3 Provide PDF format profile view cross-section drawings showing the channel centerline alignment and stationing at 200’ intervals including all PC’s and PT’s.
7.4 ASCII/CSV points files of bathymetric points.
7.5 Gridded sounding set at 1x1 FT
7.6 Aerial image.
7.7 Survey Firm with Surveyor’s certification and seal.
7.8 Electronic version of ACAD Files.
7.9 Survey Report; including summary of survey and processing.
7.10 Contractor shall provide deliverables within twenty (20) days after contract is awarded.
