About this file

The document is a Living Wage Certification Form issued by the Town of Manchester in Connecticut, specifically related to a potential contract for Toro equipment parts. The form requires bidders to indicate whether they are a "Covered Employer" under the Manchester Living Wage Ordinance (Chapter 212 of the Manchester Code of Ordinances) and comply with the ordinance's requirements during the contract term. Bidders must certify their status by selecting either that they are a covered employer who will pay the required living wage to eligible employees, or that they are exempt due to specific conditions such as being a nonprofit organization, employing fewer than 25 eligible employees, or having an annual contract value less than $25,000.

The certification form is designed to ensure fair compensation practices for workers and must be returned with the bid or RFP submission. Failure to properly complete the form may result in bid rejection. The document provides multiple exemption categories, including charitable foundations with 501(c) tax-exempt status, small employers, and contracts below a certain monetary threshold. The form requires the bidder's authorized representative to sign and date the document, certifying the accuracy of the representations made regarding their employment and wage practices in relation to the Town of Manchester's living wage requirements.
