About this file

This file contains maintenance task logs for the Sarasota County General Services Department Facilities Maintenance Division, detailing preventative maintenance procedures for four categories of conveyance systems: traction elevators, hydraulic elevators, escalator systems, and wheelchair lifts and dumb waiters. The logs serve as standardized checklists for technicians to document monthly maintenance activities across 31 county facilities housing 66 total conveyance systems. Each log identifies specific tasks to be performed on a monthly basis, such as inspecting and lubricating components, checking safety devices, testing operational systems, cleaning equipment, and performing necessary adjustments or repairs. The logs require technician identification, calendar year, equipment identification numbers, license numbers, and facility locations to ensure accountability and regulatory compliance. Tasks are organized by equipment type with corresponding monthly tracking columns to verify completion throughout the calendar year.

The maintenance task logs represent the operational foundation for the county's elevator and conveyance system services contract (IFB #262795FB). The logs demonstrate the scope and frequency of required maintenance activities that qualified contractors must perform, with monthly preventative maintenance supplemented by as-needed repair services. Equipment covered includes traction elevators, hydraulic elevators, escalators, platform lifts, and stairway chairlifts with varying capacities and manufacturers including KONE, Schindler, Dover, and ThyssenKrupp. Contractors must employ Florida State Certified Elevator Technicians and maintain appropriate licensure from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. The anticipated three-year contract term requires contractors to systematically execute these maintenance tasks across all 66 conveyance systems while maintaining complete documentation through these standardized logs.
