About this file

This document is an Attachment B Maintenance Task Log created by Sarasota County's General Services Department, Facilities Maintenance Division, for various elevator and escalator systems. The log provides comprehensive, detailed maintenance checklists for four different types of vertical transportation systems: Traction Elevators, Hydraulic Elevators, Escalator Systems, and Wheelchair Lifts and Dumb Waiters. Each maintenance task log is a monthly tracking sheet that allows technicians to document routine maintenance tasks throughout the calendar year, with columns for each month and rows listing specific maintenance activities to be performed.

The maintenance task logs cover an extensive range of inspection, cleaning, lubrication, testing, and maintenance activities for each type of system. Tasks include checking signal panels, inspecting electrical components, lubricating mechanical parts, testing safety devices, checking oil levels, examining hoistway equipment, and evaluating overall system performance. The documents are designed to ensure systematic, thorough maintenance of elevator and escalator systems, with tasks tailored to the specific requirements of each type of vertical transportation equipment. Technicians are expected to complete these tasks monthly, marking off each activity as it is performed, which helps track maintenance history and ensure consistent equipment upkeep and safety.
