About this file

This document is a specification and delivery requirements document issued by the Massachusetts State WIC Program for vendors delivering products to the Northborough Distribution Center. The specifications establish mandatory requirements for all shipments, including packaging standards, carton preparation, and delivery procedures. Shipments of 10 cartons or less weighing 200 lbs. or less must be shipped via FedEx or UPS ground, while larger orders exceeding these thresholds must be palletized. Individual cartons cannot exceed 30 lbs. in weight. All cartons must be clearly labeled with the form number, product description, language designation, and carton sequencing (e.g., 1 of 6). Packing lists must be attached to the outside of cartons and include the ship-to and ship-from addresses, purchase order information, quantities, and total weight. Delivery appointments must be scheduled in advance by emailing WICDeliveries@MassMail.State.MA.US with the delivery date, number of cartons/pallets, and purchase order details. The Massachusetts WIC Distribution Center, located at 35 Lyman Street, Northborough, MA 01532, accepts deliveries Tuesday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Palletized loads must comply with strict specifications, including the use of Grade A GMA four-way pallets measuring 48 inches long and 40 inches wide in good condition. Each pallet must have three single stringers and cannot exceed a maximum weight of 2,000 lbs. All carton labels must face outward, and cartons must be securely shrink-wrapped to the pallet. The vendor bears all freight costs under FOB destination terms with freight prepaid. No container shipments are permitted. Vendors that fail to comply with these specifications will have products returned at their expense. These requirements apply to the WIC Tablecloths contract opportunity and ensure standardized, efficient delivery and handling of products at the distribution center.
