About this file
This request for quotation (RFQ) solicits three commercial mobile towers for radio-frequency antennas. The mobile towers must include a trailer mount able to elevate up to 100 feet in height and retract into a fully horizontal nested position for relocation. Tower units must stabilize with trailer jacks, outriggers, and earth anchors adjustable to level the tower on sloping terrain. Guy wires attached to earth anchors require tension indicators to eliminate tensiometers. Additional requirements include a 450-pound maximum payload weight for guying, 24-inch deck height, 120-volt power, and an electrically operated winch system. The RFQ specifies wind speed ratings of 30 mph for extension/retraction, 70 mph for operation when guying, and 120 mph for survival when guying. Radio-frequency antennas are excluded from this solicitation.
The United States Marine Corps issued the solicitation under number M68909-23-Q-7623 for these three mobile radio-frequency towers. Responses to this RFQ are due by the date specified in the solicitation document.
