Industry Question

For the sample fabric, is a roll okay or do you prefer we box the 10 yards?

We cannot locate the number of wash cycles required for the dimensional stability test. Please advise.

1. Our Organization has a copy of the “Apparent (Near Infrared (NIR) and Short‐Wave Infrared (SWIR)) reflectivity target values” from work we did last year. There is a note that the requirement has changed recently. Can you tell me when that was so I can see if we need to request updated values?

2. Our Organization has been ordering fibers, weaving, printing and finishing fabrics to support the threshold and objective requirements that were listed in the pre‐solicitation. This takes time, especially when sourcing novel fibers (fibers ordered back in April are just now coming

in) and developing the materials to meet these challenging performance characteristics. We have made significant progress, but will not have fabric ready to be sampled by 12 June. Our estimated time to completion is closer to the end of August. Can the closing date be extended to allow industry time to develop this fabrics properly?

1. The change was made recently. We recommend that you sign the NDA to request the updated requirement.

2. No, the due date remains the same. Note that the ten linear yards of the proposed fabric may be any color or camouflage, though Woodland MARPAT is preferred. The fabric delivery of 500‐700 linear yards will be required to be printed in Woodland MARPAT if selected for award of this RFQ.
