About this file
This document appears to be a set of clarifying questions and responses related to a specific procurement request for automotive parts. The key details include a request for a DB4 Stanadyne pump, with the vendor seeking confirmation about potential manufacturer substitutions. The procurement involves 2 fuel injectors to be delivered to Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan, specifically Building 5811. The vendor is seeking clarification on whether a Cummins pump with equivalent specifications can be used in place of the original Stanadyne OEM pump, noting uncertainty about strict manufacturer requirements. The government response confirms the requirement for 2 fuel injectors and provides the delivery address, but does not definitively address the potential pump substitution question.

1. Best we can tell, this is asking for a DB4 Stanadyne pump, can we substitute the Cummins with equal specs for the actual OE pump manufacturer, which is Stanadyne? I didn’t seem to read anywhere that it had to be Stanadyne only, am I correct in that assumption?
We don’t have any information on the OEM pump, so we don’t know if it is compatible with the original pump. Therefore, we would like the original pumps.
2. Can you provide the delivery address for the items?
The address is Camp Foster Okinawa Japan Building 5811
3. Is the correct number of fuel injectors requested 2?
The Government requires 2 fuel injectors.
