About this file
This document is an amendment to a solicitation for procurement of boathouse small craft operations and preventative maintenance services. The solicitation is seeking these services for the United States Marine Corps and consolidates requirements from three existing contracts. Services include safety craft maintenance, restoration, and operations support. The amendment provides additional questions and answers to clarify requirements such as confirming all three existing contracts apply, defining approved hull repair materials, and specifying that preventative maintenance will be conducted annually rather than a one-time service life extension. Pricing is to be included for all operation costs. The response deadline is not stated but the period of performance is for one base year and four option years.

Can these CLIN's be combined? It may be more economical for the government. Most vendors would want to dual hat responsibilities of maintenance, training, and operational support
(i.e. 1st class captain that is also a certified mechanic).
The Government respectfully declines to amend the solicitation as requested. The contractor shall staff their personnel and provide most favorable pricing to the
Government to meet all requirements of the
PWS. It is the contractor's discretion how to price out the requirement. Pricing variations to the solicitation shall be explained fully.
