About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers file for a United States Marine Corps heavy equipment short-term lease solicitation (M6739925Q0028). The solicitation covers a three-month equipment lease from September 1, 2025 to November 28, 2025, totaling 88 days. Key details from the Q&A include confirmation that this is an equipment rental only, with marines operating the equipment themselves, and payment terms of Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) with Net 30 Days.
The Q&A addresses four specific vendor inquiries, including clarification that the marines will operate the equipment themselves, the lease is strictly for equipment rental (not including operator services), and recent heavy equipment purchases are documented on SAM.gov. The solicitation emphasizes that including an operator would transform the contract into a construction contract, which is not the current intent. The equipment lease is designed to augment marine capabilities and capacity between exercises.

Text version
1. What will be the Terms of Payment? On what schedule, if any?
Wide Area Workflow (WAWF), Net 30 Days
2. Please address the requisite qualifications of those who will be operators of the equipment.
The equipment will be operated by the marines full trained and qualified to operate. This is work that they normally do and this equipment just augments their capability and capacity to accomplish more in tight windows between exercises.
3. Are you currently working with, or have in the recent past, another provider of this type of equipment? Any local firms?
All of our recent purchases of Heavy Equipment are posted on SAM.gov.
4. Due to it being such a large and rare machine unit. It is suggested that it would be operated by a personnel from the vendor to actually do The work with the reclaimer. So I wanted to know if this is actually something that can be done or is it going to be unit rent only?
This would be an equipment rental only. Ordering this with an operator would turn this into a construction contract.
