About this file
This is an Amendment of Solicitation (Standard Form 30, Amendment 0001) issued by the Commanding General at MCB Camp Lejeune, North Carolina on July 17, 2026, for RFQ M6700126Q0076. The amendment modifies two contract line items (CLINs) and provides government responses to vendor questions regarding product specifications.
CLIN 0007 specifies a Melton Meinl Weston professional Thor Series 5/4 orchestral tuba with part number MW5450-2-0GB (silver plated), featuring yellow brass body, 4 front action stainless steel pistons plus 1 rotary valve, .748"-.827" graduated bore size, 19.7" bell diameter, gold brass leadpipe, hard case, and maintenance accessories. CLIN 0013 specifies a Pearl CXB2 marching bass drum carrier (formerly listed as Yamaha) with lightweight aluminum airframe design, Pearl CX mounting system, adjustable height and shoulder width, padded shoulder supports, ergonomic back support bar, and balanced load distribution, compatible with Pearl Championship series marching bass drums. The government clarified that the MFR Part# MW5450-2-0GB takes precedence for the tuba (specifying silver plating), and confirmed that Pearl CXB2 is the intended requirement for the bass drum carrier to match other Pearl percussion equipment being procured. The amendment's effective date is July 17, 2026, and all other terms and conditions of the original solicitation remain unchanged and in full force and effect.

Government Response to Vendor Questions Received
Q1. CLIN 0007 (Tuba): Section B specifies Melton Meinl Weston MFR Part# MW5420-2-0GB, whereas the salient characteristics describe the Thor Series 5/4 CC tuba (corresponding to MFR Part# MW5450-2GB). Please confirm which part number takes precedence for this solicitation.
R1. Melton Meil Weston is the maker; Thor Series is the Model. The MFR Part # MW5450-2-0GB is correct, it specifies for Silver plating.
The MW5450-2GB is the item without specification of finish.
Q2. CLIN 0013 (Bass Drum Carrier): Section B lists Yamaha as the manufacturer but references MFR Part# CXB2, which is associated with Pearl.
Furthermore, the salient characteristics describe the Pearl CX Airframe mounting system. Please confirm if the Pearl CXB2 is the intended requirement.
R2. Pearl CXB2 is the intended item to match the other Pearl Percussion Equipment being asked for. (CXB2 supports PBDM2614A46).
