QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Questions and Answers for 2nd MARDIV BEQ Furniture:

NOTE: CLIN Items submitted must be able to withstand high traffic areas.

Q1) The Crow Works table CLIN 0015 is not available in small quantities, it has been removed from the solicitation.

A1) This table was only used for the style and shape. Specifications are provided for CLIN 0015.

Q2) Can you clarify what is meant by “upholstered panels shall be removable with tamper resistant features for easy cleaning/replacement under item 0003?

A2) This feature has been removed from line item 0003.

Q3) For Deliveries, how far are the parking spaces from the actual barracks buildings?

A3) The parking lot is adjacent to the barracks.

Q4) Do you have any photographs or floor plans of the existing rooms?

A4): No photo can be provided. I would encourage you to think of any two-person college dorm room with two beds and its own bathroom.

Q5) Is it ok if the kitchen island which is 36 inches tall, be acceptable at 39 inches tall once the casters are added?

A5): Yes.

Q6) CLIN 0001 seems to be a custom twin XL mattress. My supplier would have to source a border-rod spring that they do not typically keep in stock. Would the traditional border edge support suffice for Camp Lejeune?

A6): Yes.

Q7a) For drapery removal and patch/paint purposes, what are the walls made of?

Q7b) Will there be touch up paint supplied for the contracted handymen?

A7a): Cement.

A7b): No.

Q8a) Is the maximum window size 40 inches wide x 48 inches long?

Q8b) Would all the windows be that size or smaller?

Q8c) RFQ states drapery is to come “with or without” a detachable liner but later it says “with”.

Q8d) Drapery calls for a blind stitch to be used in manufacturing.

Q8e) Can you confirm the rod width?

Q8f) Would you prefer we bid a single size and expect the ability to modify post contract based on dramatic size changes?

A8a): Yes.

A8b): All windows are the same size.

A8c): Drapery must include blackout liner.

A8d): Blind Stitch and Straight Stitch are acceptable.

A8e): Rod width must accommodate the provided/confirmed window size.

A8f): Size of rod must accommodate the provided/confirmed window size. You should not expect the ability to modify pricing post award.

Q9) CLIN0007 is labeled a “Rectangle Coffee Table”. It seems like a square table is needed as the measurements are

40 inches wide x 40 inches long.

A9): The intended item at CLIN 0007 is a rectangular coffee table. Dimensions at CLIN 0007 have been corrected.

To qualify as a small business (SB) concern for a SB set-aside, the offeror must either be the manufacturer or producer of the end item being procured (and that end item must be manufactured or produced in the United

State; or they must comply as a nonmanufacturer, kit assembler or supplier (13 CFR 121.406(a)).

The NMR waiver allows the SB concern to supply the product of any size business without regard to the place of manufacture. However, the NMR waiver has no effect on the external requirements which involve domestic sources of supply, such as Buy American Act or Trade Agreement Act (13 CFR 121.406(b)(7). If Buy American Act applies to the procurement, it still applies even with the waiver in place.

Evidence must indicate the following:

(2) If more than 50% of the estimated contract value is composed of items manufactured by other than small business concerns.
