MEMORANDUM FOR RECORD
SUBJECT: Item Description, M25-008 Bruker Spectrometer
1. The 76th MXSG/MXSS/MXDTAA is requesting utilization of funds for the purchase of an INVENIO-S Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer.
2. The requested equipment item descriptions/specifications are outlined below.
• One (1) each, Brucker, INVENIO-S Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer, with the following specifications:
Laser device for cell alignment and path length verification Capable of transferring current laboratory calibration spectra seamlessly between software generations Fitted with a deuterated triglycine sulfate (DTGS) detector Achieves spectral resolution better than 0.4 cm⁻¹ Optical system utilizing a mid-infrared KBr beamsplitter, offering a spectral range limited to 8,000-380 cm⁻¹ Fixed interferometer that maintains alignment without requiring software or manual adjustment Electronically stabilized infrared source Provides a wavenumber accuracy of 0.01 cm⁻¹ at 2000 cm⁻¹ or higher 1-year onsite warranty covering all parts and labor Specialized tools required for routine maintenance User Manual
