The Government intends to evaluate quotes and award a contract without discussions with vendors. Vendors should not expect requests for clarification or additional information from the Government. Award will be based on the initial evaluation of quotes received in response to the solicitation. Therefore, quoters are cautioned that their initial quotes should contain their best terms from a technical and price standpoint. However, the Government reserves the right to conduct discussions with vendors if later determined by the Contracting Officer to be necessary. As part of its mission, the NMMC is tasked with collections stewardship responsibilities to provide professional expertise for all museum artifacts and works of art within the collection located throughout all Marine Corps facilities.
The NMMC curators continually identify museum textiles that require either conservation and/or stabilization treatment, as needed, to ensure they are managed and maintained in perpetuity. Museum textiles that are conserved or stabilized may require custom storage boxes, trays, and/or supporting mounts made for the textiles in preparation for storage and/or display.
