M00264-19-Q-0054 Hearing Protection Headsets Questions and Responses
Question 1.) have a question about one of the capabilities. It says – “NEED TO INTEGRATE WITH THE FOLLOWING RAIDIOS VIA ASSOCIATED MIC/PUSH-TO-TALK: MOTOROLA APX 8000, HARRIS XG-100P UNITY RADIO, HARRIS PRC-152 (6PIN), HARRIS PRC-148 (6PIN).” This just means that the TAC100-OTH is capable of integrating with an additional accessory through the 3.5mm jack. That accessory works with the MOTOROLA APX 8000, HARRIS XG-100P UNITY RADIO, HARRIS PRC-152 (6PIN), HARRIS PRC-148 (6PIN) but is not included with this unit. Is this right? Can you confirm
Response 1.) Requested headset is required to be “receive only” and must integrate with external remote microphone via 3.5mm aux cable. Separate remote microphone is not part of this request
Question 2.) In researching your listed brand name or equal reference of; 3m TAC100-OTH, there is no radio communication capability of that product that can be found anywhere. So, we are a bit confused by the listing of radios that need to be compatible with the hearing protection headset. Can you clarify if you seek a hearing protection headset with Situational Awareness only our a full communication variant of same?
Response 2.) Situational awareness only.
Question 3.) Please describe the need for a 3.5mm audio port?
Response 3.) Required to integrate with radio remote microphone via 3.5mm aux cable.
Question 4.) Can volume control be accomplished via the GFE radio in use if a full comms headset is required?
Response 4.) Radio volume can be controlled via connected device, headset situational awareness volume must be controllable via the headset
Question 5.) It does not come with a 6pin; it comes with a 3.5mm port. Is this acceptable?
Response 4.) Requested headset is only required to have a 3.5mm audio jack capability.
