About this file

This document contains questions from the United States Marine Corps seeking feedback on a forthcoming solicitation for lodging and facilities services. The Marine Corps is looking to establish a venue capable of conducting staging operations for Poolees before they are transported to Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island for basic training. The questions ask whether companies intend to bid, if there are any barriers to bidding, recommendations for structuring pricing for food and laundry services which are currently proposed as reimbursable based on actual usage, what information is needed to submit proposals, potential cost reductions or risk mitigations, interest in a base period with three option periods for a total of one year, a planning estimate for proposed pricing, and points of contact for additional feedback.

SOURCES SOUGHT

ATTACHEMENT 2

1) Does your company intend to provide a proposal in response to the requirement, once it's posted?

2) Are there any perceived or actual barriers your company sees to providing a proposal? If so, what are your recommended changes to address them?

3) Does your company have any recommendations on how to structure the pricing arrangement, if different from the draft PWS?

4) What is the commercial standard for paying for food and laundry services?

The draft PWS currently structures food and laundry to be reimbursed on a monthly basis based on the firm fixed unit price established at contract award, based on actual meals and laundry services ordered during that month.

5) What further information does your company expect to be provided in order to provide an adequate technical and price proposal?

6) Does your company have any recommended changes to the PWS to reduce costs or reduce execution risk?

7) Is your company interested in a Base Period with three Options for a total of one year?

Example:

Base = 3 months

Option 1 = 3 months
Option 2 = 3 months
Option 3 = 3 months

8) Please provide a rough estimate of the anticipated proposed price for planning purposes only. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP), and you will not be held to your estimate.

9) Please provide a POC (email and telephone number) that the Government can reach out to for additional feedback.
