About this file

This document is a Maintenance, Repair & Operations (MRO) Location Specification Sheet (LSS) for a Request for Proposal (RFP) for lawncare and snowplowing services for the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) Muskegon Transportation Service Center (TSC). The contract term is from December 1, 2022 to November 30, 2024, with two (2) one-year extension options. The services requested include mowing, trimming, fertilizer/herbicide application, gutter cleaning, landscaping, snowplowing, shoveling, herbicide/weed application, wood chips/bark, spring clean-up, and fall clean-up. The estimated annual occurrences for these services range from 1 to 52 times per year. The contract will be awarded by the MDOT Procurement Office.

The pricing schedule requires bidders to provide a price per occurrence or per yard/bag for each service item. The State is not obligated to purchase the estimated quantities, as the actual services needed are weather-dependent. The contractor will be responsible for any damage to property while performing the grounds maintenance services and will be required to make necessary repairs. The contractor must have reliable commercial equipment to complete the work as advertised in the proposal, and equipment failure will not be an acceptable reason for deviating from the contract activities and schedule.
