About this file
This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) issued by the Maine Military Authority for LP gas service and tank farm installation and maintenance at its Limestone, Maine facility. The project involves the delivery and installation of up to 10 each 1,000-gallon propane tanks, with 5 tanks to be located at the North end of Building 7230 and 5 tanks at the South end of Building 7230. Two adequately sized vaporizers are required, one at each tank group, with underground piping connecting the tanks to the building and approximately five feet of exposed piping at the building for connection. The tanks will be located at the required distance from the building per applicable codes. The estimated 10 tanks are based on a projected delivery schedule of every 2 weeks, though vendors may propose alternative delivery schedules. All tanks and vaporizers will remain the property of the supplier, and the supplier will be responsible for all maintenance and operation of the tank farm equipment.
Pricing shall include rental or lease costs per 1,000-gallon tank (monthly and annual rates), rental or lease costs per vaporizer (monthly and annual rates), and installation costs per tank with the number of tanks proposed. LP gas service pricing will be based on the Caribou Wholesale Index price plus a specified markup per gallon. Vendors must provide the contract term, and upon award, provide copies of lease and supply agreements as well as tank farm requirements. Current consumption at the facility is 29,798.4 gallons annually, with existing inventory distributed across three buildings to support boiler startup, parts washer, and paint booth operations; these existing tanks will no longer be required once Building 7230 becomes fully operational. All vendor questions regarding the RFQ must be submitted through the Question and Answer link on the Solicitation Details View page.
