About this file

This Special Notice and attached Statement of Work outline VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System's intent to sole source a contract to Logicare Corporation for patient instruction software in the Emergency Department. The procurement will be a firm-fixed-price contract with one base year and four one-year options.

The SOW requires a Windows-based system that integrates with VISTA and CPRS to create patient-specific treatment instructions, automatically display new ED registrations, transmit completed instructions to patient records, and include primary care provider information. Key requirements include a customizable instruction library, 90-second printing capability, 24/7 helpline support, and comprehensive staff training. The notice indicates responses from capable vendors are due by January 9, 2025 at 10:00 AM EST, though this is not a request for quotes. The NAICS code is 513210 with a $47.5M size standard. Logicare Corporation (UEI: CZRMAZXYRLJ6) is identified as the only authorized service provider for this proprietary software system.
