About this file

This file is a set of appendices providing supporting documentation for an Army logistics and financial modernization initiative.

Appendix A describes six Army enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems: five SAP-based systems (GFEBS, GFEBS-SA, GCSS-A, LMP, and AESIP Hub) and one non-SAP system (SAAS-MOD). GFEBS serves as the core financial management system for the General Fund, while GCSS-A supports logistical, financial, and tactical management of Army assets. LMP facilitates national supply chain management and serves as the General Ledger for the Army Working Capital Fund. SAAS-MOD provides multi-level automated ammunition management, reporting, and accountability across Theater Sustainment Commands, Expeditionary Sustainment Commands, and Sustainment Brigades.

Appendix B illustrates nine value chains representing areas of interest within the EBS-C Value Management strategy, organized into three primary process categories: Acquisition Process (asset acquisition and real estate), Supply Chain Process (fulfillment, supply, and transportation), and Sustainment Process (maintenance and manufacturing/remanufacturing). Appendix C references eleven Army policies and strategies relevant to low-code/no-code (LCNC) development and modernization, including cybersecurity guidance, data architecture standards, and the Army Data Modernization and Centralization to Vantage initiative. Appendix D lists six CIO-approved data platforms (Army Vantage, Army Intelligence Data Platform, ADVANA, Gabriel Nimbus, The Army Resource Cloud, and cPeople/Person Event Data Environment) and seven CIO-approved development platforms (Army Vantage, PowerApps, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Appian Defense Cloud, Palantir, and SAP), with three platforms sustained by the Army Software & Innovation Center.
