About this file

This is a Living Wage Certification Form required by the Town of Manchester, Connecticut for participation in a bid for parts and labor services on Town-owned Volvo equipment. Bidders must complete and return the form with their bid submission, as failure to do so may result in bid rejection. The certification requires bidders to indicate their status as either a covered employer subject to the Manchester Living Wage Ordinance (Chapter 212 of the Manchester Code of Ordinances, Sections 212-1 through 212-11) or an exempt entity. Covered employers must commit to paying the required living wage to eligible employees and comply with all ordinance requirements throughout the contract term.

Bidders may claim exemption from living wage requirements if they meet one or more of the following criteria: employ fewer than twenty-five eligible employees, the annual contract value is less than $25,000, or the entity is a charitable foundation, charitable trust, or nonprofit organization exempt from federal income taxation under Section 501 of the Internal Revenue Code. The form must be signed by an authorized officer, owner, or representative of the bidding company and include the bidder's name, bid/RFP number, bid/RFP name, signature, printed name, and date. Only one exemption status category should be selected, and all applicable exemption boxes may be checked if multiple conditions apply.
