About this file
This is a Living Wage Certification document related to the Town of Manchester, Connecticut's Request for Proposals for school bus stop arm camera enforcement equipment and services. The certification establishes wage requirements for vendors and contractors engaged in this project, which involves the installation, implementation, and operation of a live digital video monitoring system designed to detect school bus stop arm violations and enhance student safety for Manchester Public Schools. The system represents a complete turnkey operation requiring qualified vendors to provide hardware, software, installation, training, and ongoing performance and support services. The project is contingent upon the Manchester Board of Directors adopting a local authorizing ordinance, and the Town reserves the right to terminate the contract if such authorization is not granted.
The Living Wage Certification document establishes prevailing wage standards that vendors and their subcontractors must comply with when performing work on this contract. These wage requirements apply to all employees engaged in the project and are a material condition of contract performance. The certification ensures that workers employed under this contract receive compensation meeting or exceeding the established living wage thresholds set by the Town of Manchester, reflecting the municipality's commitment to labor standards and worker protection in addition to the technical and operational requirements of the school bus stop arm monitoring system.
