Acceptable materials include mixed yard wastes (leaves, grass, and small brush in bagged and unbagged form), land-clearing wood (brush, limbs, and trunks), stumps and large logs requiring shearing, and clean wood (pallets, spools, and unfinished lumber). The Town may hire different contractors for various material types. The selected contractor(s) will provide all labor, materials, equipment, supplies, and incidentals necessary to manage these materials. The Town seeks cost-effective, environmentally-responsible proposals, including potential uses such as clean wood mulch or renewable energy fuel sources, and will consider alternate proposals that may provide additional benefits or revenues.

Exemptions apply to employers with fewer than twenty-five eligible employees, contracts with annual values less than $25,000, or nonprofit organizations and charitable foundations exempt from federal income taxation under Section 501(c) of the Internal Revenue Code.
