ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES
SMALL PURCHASE PROCUREMENT
SCOPE OF WORK & PROJECT REQUIREMENTS
Date: January 22, 2020 File# 1-21-012
LOCATION: Rice Lake State Fish & Wildlife Area
PROJECT TITLE: Levee Stabilization – Material Acquisition
PROJECT NARRATIVE:
The Illinois Department of Natural Resources, hereinafter referred to as IDNR, manages a large portion of the Rice Lake SFWA for waterfowl habitat during the annual migration. As part of a US Army Corps of Engineers’ Habitat Improvement Project, large earthen berms were constructed to act as a pump discharge channel. The orientation of the berms allows for wind and wave action to cause erosion which deters the viability of vegetative growth. As a result, the IDNR needs to place stone riprap as a deterrent. This solicitation shall provide the quantity of riprap stone needed to deter the continued erosion caused by high water events.
SCOPE OF WORK:
The approved low bidder shall provide, deliver and stockpile the materials, identified within the material specification section, to the location specified. The stockpile location is located approximately two (2) miles south of Banner, Illinois, off Dyke Road, near the Slim Lake area of the site. The stockpile location is illustrated on the attached aerial photo(s).
ATTACHMENTS:
The following documents are attached in Bidbuy:
1) Aerial photo illustrating stockpile locations 1 and 2.
