About this file
This document is a Letter of Intent template for the Business Enterprise Program (BEP) or Veteran Small Business (VSB) program in the State of Illinois. The template outlines the requirements for prime vendors to submit a signed Letter of Intent from each BEP/VSB certified vendor included in their bid/offer. The Letter of Intent must include the negotiated contract percentage, a detailed scope of work to be performed by the BEP/VSB certified vendor, and the subcontract amount, if known. Any changes involving or affecting the identified BEP/VSB certified vendor may not be permitted without written approval from the procuring agency.
The related state and local contract opportunity is for the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) to procure car seats for newborns, infants, toddlers, and children that meet booster seat requirements. The contract is intended to ensure safe travelling conditions for children of Illinois families that come in contact with DCFS and cannot afford to purchase car seats on their own.
