The NIH's Office of Logistics and Operations, Hospital and Laboratory Support Division, located at 6701 Rockledge Drive, Bethesda, Maryland, plans to purchase this equipment for the Briggs Laboratory of Sensory Research (LSR) section to support surgical procedures in animal studies focused on post-stroke vision recovery, visual system functionality, and autism spectrum disorder research. The contract will be conducted under FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures at an amount not exceeding $350,000 and is classified under NAICS code 811210 with a size standard of $34 million.
The procurement is being conducted as a non-competitive single-source acquisition, though the synopsis invites interested parties to submit capability statements and proposals by August 23, 2026, at 9:00 AM Eastern time.
