About this file
This amendment modifies a request for proposals for warehousing services. The amendment extends the proposal due date to August 24, 2023 and provides answers to seven questions from prospective offerors. The amendment specifies that approximately four to five trucks will deliver materials daily to the project site from the warehouse, with deliveries of oversized pallets and prefabricated equipment assemblies expected. Regular inbound and outbound shipments are anticipated. Pallet racking will be required for storage. Deliveries will consist of full pallets and boxes shipped without repackaging or breaking down of contents at the warehouse. Only temperature and humidity controls are required for storage, along with wrapping upon request.

Amendment 01 is issued by Fermi Research Alliance LLC to extend the proposal due date and to provide answers for seven questions received from prospective offerors as follows:
Question No. 1: How many trucks expected per day for both drop off and delivery?
FRA Answer No. 1: We expect ~ 4 trucks per day delivering to SURF from the warehouse and the number of trucks inbound to the warehouse location will likely be 4-5 per day but could be much higher at certain times as we do not yet have any firm delivery time lines from our contributors.
Question No. 2: What is the definition of an “Oversized Pallet Equivalent”? What are the planned contents of these pallets?
FRA Answer No. 2: Materials or pallets that are larger than 48” by 48”. Most of this material will be piping and prebuild equipment assemblies.
Question No. 3: Is our interpretation of the volume graph, correct? We should expect to inbound regularly and outbound regularly, is that accurate?
FRA Answer No. 3: Yes, regular inbound and outbound traffic will be expected.
Question No. 4: Can pallets be stacked on top of each other? If so, how high? Or is pallet racking required?
FRA Answer No. 4: Pallet racking will be required, a small amount of pallets may be stackable.
Question No. 5: Can pictures be shared of the pallets, steel, or any other materials?
FRA Answer No. 5: No we do not have any images of the materials at this time.
Question No. 6: On the pallets, are the orders going to be sent out SKU specific, FIFO, or does it matter?
FRA Answer No. 6: The deliveries are not FIFO, they will be pallet/box in and out. It is not intended to be broke down or repackaged at the warehouse. The materials that comes in should be the same as to send out.
Question No. 7: Other than the temperature/humidity control, are there any other special handling or storage requirements for the items?
FRA Answer No. 7: No special requirements for storage outside of the indicated temp/humidity controls. The wrapping that is indicated as required upon request is the only other special handling case identified.
THE PROPOSAL DUE DATE IS HEREBY CHANGED TO AUGUST 24, 2023 AT 5:00 PM CENTRAL DAYLIGHT TIME
(CDT-CHICAGO).
Additional questions will be accepted through August 11, 2023.
